Course Overview
The aims of this course are to develop your knowledge and awareness of care within different sectors. This course will provide you with an understanding of the requirements to work in the care sector before you decide whether working in the sector is for you as you gain information to make decisions about your career progression.
Prosp Overview
You will need a good level of literacy to be able to complete tasks. You will need good ICT Skills an electronic tablet, PC or laptop with good internet access to support working on Moodle which is Oldham Lifelong Learning’s virtual learning platform.
Prosp Req
There is no formal assessment and no examination you will complete activities in class and on Moodle. You will keep a learner diary, individual learning plan to track your progress and your tutor will give you regular verbal and written feedback which will show you how to improve.

This process allows us to discuss your progress from enrolment to completion of the course and helps us to support you to achieve your goals in planning the next step in your learning.

You will receive a certificate of attendance.

Prosp Content
There are progression routes onto childcare, teaching assistant courses or social care qualifications.

Your tutor will discuss your next steps with you, and you will have access to a Careers Adviser from National Careers Service.
