Course Overview
This course is aimed at anyone who would like to explore volunteering to help those within their community, improve their sense of wellbeing or learn new skills.
Prosp Overview
You will need a basic level of literacy to be able to complete tasks. You will need basic ICT Skills; an electronic tablet, PC or laptop with good internet access to support working on Moodle which is Oldham Lifelong Learning’s virtual learning platform.
Prosp Req
There is no formal assessment and no examination you will complete activities in class and on Moodle. You will keep a learner diary, individual learning plan to track your progress and your tutor will give you regular verbal and written feedback which will show you how to improve.

This process allows us to discuss your progress from enrolment to completion of the course and helps us to support you to achieve your goals in planning the next step in your learning.

You will receive a certificate of attendance.

Prosp Content
There are progression routes onto a wide range of courses aimed at people who may wish to work or volunteer with children, young people and/or adults.

Your tutor will discuss your next steps with you, and you will have access to a Careers Adviser from National Careers Service.
