Course Overview
This course is ideal for anyone working or wanting to work in the education or health and social care sectors or to further develop your existing skills and knowledge within this area. This qualification is aimed at helping learners raise their awareness of behaviour that challenges and its effects.

This course is delivered online over 12 sessions – dates and times to be confirmed by your Tutor on the first session. You will be expected to attend live Teams/Zoom sessions and complete activities on Moodle which is Oldham Lifelong Learning’s virtual learning platform and E-assessor. You will be required to work to specified deadlines.
Prosp Overview
It is recommended that you have an interest in working with or supporting people with behaviour that challenges as a volunteer or are employed in the education, health, and social care sector.
You will need to demonstrate English skills at a Level 2 standard to meet the demands of this course and the distance learning elements. You will need good ICT Skills, access to a good internet connection, access to Teams/Zoom (which can easily be downloaded onto your device), an electronic tablet, PC, or laptop
Prosp Req
You will be required to complete assessments on E- assessor, these are then reviewed by your tutor who will confirm that you have met the performance criteria. There are no exams to take but you must fully complete the assessments to the required standard to gain the qualification.
You will be required to use Moodle which is Oldham Lifelong Learning’s virtual learning platform.
Prosp Assess
You will gain an understanding of the following topics:
how to support positive behaviour; the importance of effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges; the role of reflection and support for those involved in incidents of behaviour that challenges.
Prosp Content
You could progress onto various Level 2 qualifications including: Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Understanding Autism or Specific Learning Difficulties.

Your tutor will discuss your next steps with you, and you will have access to a Careers Adviser from National Careers Service.
