This course will enable you to make a range of sugar paste models such as figures, simple flowers and foliage. You will need to provide your own modelling materials and small tools. The tutor will advise you about what you need to purchase for the course at your first class. Prosp Overview

• Use specific tools and associated cake decoration.
• Use colours and mediums associated with sugar paste.
• Make sugar paste decorations by hand.
• Use the correct tools & equipment safely.
• Demonstrate good food safety and hygiene methods.

Materials and Equipment
You will need to bring the following:
Apron, containers to take items home. You will be informed each week about any equipment or ingredients need for the following week.

Please note you need to provide all the ingredients needed each week.

Week 1: You will need:
500g Supermarket own brand fondant/sugar paste.
6inch cake board.
6inch box, to take your model home.
Cocktail sticks.
Food grade paste/gel colours.
Tylose/CMC powder (this can be purchased on the night from the tutor)
