Course Overview
This non-vocational course is designed to enable learners to develop basic knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of youth work. It also helps learners understand the role of the youth worker in terms of safeguarding young people.

You will need a basic level of English, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

There is no formal assessment and no examination, you will complete activities in class. You will keep a learner diary, individual learning plan to track your progress and your tutor will give you regular verbal and written feedback which will show you how to improve.

You will receive a certificate of attendance.
