Course Overview
This pathway is for absolute beginners who have never used a computer. You will complete a skills pathway which will allow you to gain an Entry 2 and Entry 3 level digital skills qualifications.

This course requires a pre-enrolment interview to ensure you have the required ICT and literacy skills. Please ring 0161-770-8026 to arrange an appointment.

The exercises you complete will cover the outcomes required by the exam board and the work you produce will be assessed by your tutor.

You will complete a range of activities on the computer and learn about:

• General computer use
• Managing files and folders
• Word Processing software
• Spreadsheet software
• Using the Internet to find information
• Using email to communicate

You will gain the following qualifications:

Entry 2 Award in Life & Living Skills
Entry 3 in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development

This course is eligible for a range of concessions which may result in it being free of charge. This also includes a free offer for people who are employed and who meet certain criteria. If course fees are more than £70 you can pay by instalment. See www.oldham.gov.uk/lifelong for further information. We do not give refunds if you withdraw from the course, and you will remain liable for any outstanding instalments.
