Course Overview

Course Overview
The NOCN Level 3 Certificate Youth Work Practice is designed to prepare learners to lead work with young people in a range of youth work settings. It is suitable for learners who need minimal support. This is for employees who deliver operational youth work and who undertake duties on their own initiative or who have supervisory responsibility for small projects, such as one night a week clubs. Workers with these responsibilities will receive leadership and operational guidance from professionally qualified youth workers.
Prosp Overview
There are no formal entry requirements for learners undertaking this qualification. However, you must demonstrate that you have the appropriate level of English to complete the written tasks. You are expected to be at, or working towards, a Level 2 standard. We can also support you with skills check if required.
A pre-enrolment, informal interview, by phone, to check your suitability and eligibility will take place with an advisor. Learners studying the Level 3 Certificate must undertake work experience of 60 and 80 hours respectively, in a youth work environment (paid or unpaid) throughout their learning journey.
Prosp Req
Assessment for this course may include a combination of written assignments, practical demonstrations, case studies, and reflective journals. The focus is on practical application of skills learned, ensuring learners are ready to engage with young people in real-world settings.
