Course Overview
This course is for learners of all abilities, including beginners. It is also for the amateur artist who regularly paints and draws. During the course you will be able to develop and improve your drawing and painting skills.

This course is not formally assessed. The tutor will give feedback during the sessions about your progress within the subject.
Prosp Assess
• Drawing and painting through direct observation and from photographs
• Learning different styles and techniques used in a variety of art mediums
• Carrying out art research and self-directed projects
• Safe working practice.

Please note that you will need to provide all the materials for your own projects. But to begin with they will include:

• A3 Drawing pad/A3 or A4 Mixed media Pad
• 2 pencils: hard HB and soft B4-B7
• Eraser
• Set of watercolour paints (preferable of good quality and in the pans not tubes)
• Set of acrylic paints
• 3 brushes of different sizes (1; 4; 9) made of soft natural or artificial fibre
• Palettes
