Our Childcare and Teaching Assistant courses are a fantastic way to start or progress a rewarding career working with children and young people. Open Requirements

Regular enrolment sessions take place at the Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre, where you will discuss your course requirements with the Digital Skills & Employment Team. Please ring 0161 770 -8026 to book an appointment.

Open Assessment

There are no formal exams. You will build a portfolio of evidence to show case your skills. This will be assessed by your tutor.

Open Progression

Childcare and Teaching Assistant courses offer clear progression into both employment and further study. On completion, learners can move into roles such as nursery practitioner, teaching assistant, or learning support assistant, or progress to higher-level qualifications.

Open General Fee Information

Course fees vary. However, there are a wide range of concessions available for example, people earning less than £25,000 annual gross salary can enrol on a qualification for free. We will discuss your options
