Course Overview
The purpose of this qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate understanding of, and competency in, digital literacy skills. It will help learners progress to a work role where digital skills are required.
Prosp Overview
This course requires a pre-enrolment interview to ensure you have the required IT and literacy skills. Please ring 770 – 8026/ 8030 to arrange an appointment.
Prosp Req
You will work through a range of exercises and scenarios which will cover the outcomes required by the exam board. The work you produce will be assessed by your tutor.
Prosp Assess
You will learn how to: apply digital skills in personal and business situations ; understand how to maintain safety and security when using data and devices; find and use information; use digital resources to facilitate your own learning and career progression; communicate socially and professionally using technology; use word processing software to create straightforward text and documents.
Prosp Content
We offer a range of qualification and non-qualification courses. Your tutor will help you to decide which course is best for you. We can also refer you to other learning providers. This course will give you valuable skills which will help you search for employment. Your tutor will discuss your next steps with you and you will have access to a Careers Adviser from National Careers Service.

The course is subsidised by GMCA – please see our full fees policy available at www.oldham.gov.uk/lifelong. If course fees are more than £70 you can pay by instalment – see the fees policy. You may be eligible for a concession or help from the Discretionary Learner Support fund – please discuss this with our information, advice and guidance staff. We do not give refunds if you withdraw and you will remain liable for any outstanding instalments.
