Course Overview
This course will teach you the first steps in dealing with a first aid emergency in the workplace. It is a 3-day course with breaks for lunch (not provided). There is a café on site where lunch can be purchased.

The training will be conducted in English, so a basic level of both written and spoken English is required to ensure understanding of the content.

Casualty Incident Management: including the need for recording and reporting; Enabling individuals to act safely, effectively and promptly in an emergency; How to assess and deal with a range of major and minor injuries; What to do if a person is bleeding; How to recognise and deal with shock; How to deal with a person choking; How to deal with an unconscious casualty; How to perform CPR; Safe use of De-Fib; How to deal with major illness, including heart attack, asthma attack, diabetic emergency, epileptic seizure, poisoning
Prosp Content
Workplace First Aider; Health and Safety courses; First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC 3) with another provider. Your tutor will discuss your next steps with you and you will have access to a Careers Adviser from National Careers Service.
