Course Overview

Course Overview
This workshop has been designed for beginners and will cover the basics of pattern cutting as a taster session. It is especially suitable for learners who want to develop their knowledge of sewing patterns beyond that of using commercially available patterns. Pattern cutting paper will be provided for this workshop and specialist pattern cutting tools and equipment are available to use in class. You will need to provide your own basic equipment including a pencil, tape measure, scissors, calculator and a folder for organising your work. There is no sewing on this workshop. If you are a returning learner from a previous pattern cutting course at Oldham Lifelong Learning, someone who has studied elsewhere, or are working in the industry and wish to refresh your skills, you are advised to enrol onto the full ‘Progress with Pattern Cutting’ course.
