Course Overview
We offer a range of courses and qualifications to suit your needs and to help you gain skills to increase your employment prospects at a pace and time to suit you. You can improve your Maths skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications up to Level 2. These qualifications can provide a stepping stone towards a Maths GCSE.

Prosp Req
The examination board we use for Functional Skills Maths is Edexcel. The exam will consist of one assessment/exam containing calculator and non-calculator questions.
The examination board for GCSE Maths is Edexcel.
We also use NOCN Awards as a stepping stone to improve your Maths skills.
Prosp Assess
Functional Skills Maths: You will study a range of topics to develop your knowledge and skills in number, shape and space and data handling.
GCSE Maths - skill areas covered include: Number, Algebra, Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change, Data Handling, Geometry and Measure, Trigonometry, Statistics and probability, Graphs, Charts and Averages.
Bridge Courses: These courses are specifically designed to help you improve the skills needed to study at the next level, for e.g. Entry 3 to Level 1 Bridge Course and Level 1 to Level 2 Bridge Course.
Prosp Content
Improved Maths skills will increase your confidence and help you to progress into employment and improve your career prospects.
The GCSE Course will allow you to progress onto Further Education Courses, Higher Education Courses and employment.
Your tutor will discuss your next steps with you and you will have access to a Careers Adviser from National Careers Service.
Prosp Progression
The Adult maths courses we provide are funded by the Government and are free. Therefore, you should only enrol on the course if you intend to complete it. If the Job Centre sent you to us, your benefits may be at risk if you withdraw.
