Course Overview
This course is intended for people who love flowers and would like to create different styles of flower arrangements using readily available media such as paper, fresh flowers and artificial flowers. You will create beautiful arrangements perfect for decorating your home or creating thoughtful gifts for friends and family. You will need to provide your own flowers, foliage and craft materials but will be informed of the correct materials and equipment prior to the course starting

This course is not formally assessed. The tutor will give back feedback during the sessions about your progress with the subject

Prosp Assess
• Safe working practice and selection of appropriate tools/equipment
• Different styles of arrangements, traditional, modern and artificial
• Care, conditioning and preparation of flowers and foliage
• Different ways to create flowers using mixed media
• Identification of flowers and foliage
• Principles and elements of design.
• Colour theory
• Safe working practice following COVID 19 Government guidelines.

Materials and Equipment
Please note that you will need to provide all the materials for your own projects just for your own use as stated above. These can be discussed with the tutor in class, but to begin with they will include:
• Flowers
• Foliage
• Paper
• Glue
• Scissors
• Craft knife
• Floral Foam
• Containers
Each week your tutor will inform you about specific materials/equipment you will need for each display
