Course Overview
This 16 week online course is an introductory teaching qualification for anyone interested in training and teaching adults.
Prosp Overview
You will need to complete the Introduction to Education and Training course.
You will need
A Level 2 qualification in literacy, A qualification and / or experience in the subject you want to teach
You will also need Basic IT skills, Access to a good internet connection, Access to Zoom (which can easily be downloaded onto your device), An electronic tablet, PC or laptop (It would not be possible to complete the course on a smartphone).
You will be required to complete an online pre-enrolment interview and a short written assessment.

There are 10 written assignments and a reflective weekly journal to complete. You will also prepare and deliver an online 30-minute teaching session in your chosen subject area. The tutor will provide feedback and support about your progress throughout the course.

Methods used to assess learning and development.
We will also cover how to adapt your teaching to a virtual context, and have practical workshops on how to use Zoom to deliver teaching sessions.
Prosp Content
After completing the course, you may want to use your skills to deliver training in a range of sectors or access higher level qualifications in education and training through other providers. This course does not constitute a full qualification to teach. Your tutor will discuss your next steps with you and you will have access to a Careers Adviser from National Careers Service.

£340.00. If course fees are more than £70 you can pay by instalment. See www.oldham.gov.uk/lifelong. We do not give refunds if you withdraw from the course and you will remain liable for any outstanding instalments.
